Health is a balance among the mental, physical and social well-beings. For good health all this three factors are necessary. In society, a most complicated issue is health. Many factors affect on health both on physical as well as mental health such as, disease of certain type, genetic inheritance, through the environmental pollution (ozone layer, deforestation or factories).  It can be due to the unhealthy choice of lifestyle for example, obesity and smoking.

 Issue about mental health is now become a pressing public anxiety or concern. In past it is considered that mental issues are private issues and should be deal in closed door.  However, after becoming a social problem, mental health is encompassing a subject of apprehension for the people. It changes the attitudes and values of people. It has psychological, biological and many soc8ial reasons that lead to social stigmatism. Despite highest level of regulation and sophisticated treatment, mental health stays to be under the inception or scrutiny and judgment.

I am not indifferent form this topic. I have knowledge about the mental health issues especially those who cause the mental disorders; it generates a discriminatory attitudes.  In my case, I some time feel depressed, anxiety, worry, addictions and stress. I think these mental problems are due to the poor eating habits, reckless behavior and smoking habit. The mental problems occur when the working of brain is not well or it work in wrong way.

At the result of these mental problems, I face many difficulties in my studies such as, I have difficulty in learning, behavioral difficulties, and I cannot perform well in my studies. In addition, it causes to more absenteeism or truancy.

After sometimes, I feel that due to my attitudes no student like to sit with me. I feel asleep during the lecturer. I was faced problem to understand and prepare the lecturer. Then I decided to take some effective action to reduce theses mental issues. I joined a mental health class. This class provided me a lot benefit to improve my mental condition.  I learned from this class how to live a happy life. After this, I improved my eating habit. I get rid from smoking. It helped to strengthens my mental health and also supports to increased my ability such as; I will able to make the strong and healthy relations, I choose a good lifestyle, it was beneficial in maintaining my physical health, I will be able to handle ups and downs of life.

There is a direct relationship between good academic performance and mental health. I think it is also the responsibility of colleges and universities to take effective measures and should provide assistance for those students who face such type of mental issues. They also should integrate the mental health education in their courses it may help to reduce the mental health issues.
