Do you feel pity for the Hmong family? Why or why not?
There is difference between American doctors and Hmong. The Hmong spending many time at homes , but on the other hand American doctors believes that patient come to hospital where doctors investigates each aspect of disease of their patient. Hmong were not pity, which did not do wrong anything and never undressed their patients. But the doctors investigate each aspect of disease. Hmong not blame of their patients for not getting well, because it would happen for their fault of spirits, and doctors blame on American patient death. (Fadiman, 1998)
Do you think Hmong family experience in adapting to America is standards for immigrants? What is your perspective on immigrating US?
The American medical experiences is adapting by the Hmong towards standards of immigrants. Less than enthusiastic manner is specifically related to the American doctors. The welfare reform bill drives benefits of the legal immigrants. Such promoting the Hmong is applying for citizenship. Hmong finds the English language requirements specifically for the insurmountable obstacle. Rely on relatives, states jobs, and welfare provided by individual states indicates American standards for the immigrant that were adopting by the Hmong.
What were benefits of working with your group? What were drawbacks?
In my view point, escaping violence, welfare benefits, more generous states, legal immigrants and medical system power is the major benefits is associated with the spirit catches. Suffering from financial problems, health problems and problems of immigration specifically associated with the working of groups. Thus to sum up all discussion about the spirit catches that elaborates about the immigrant and medical system.
